=== Community Bicycle Collective Meetups Everywhere ===
[http://meetupeverywhere.tumblr.com/ Meetup Everywhere] seems like it could be a great tool for bike collectives to organize their efforts in a unified fashion. Though meetup pages (not using the 'everywhere' model) exist for plenty of bike collectives already, they're largely disjointed and isolated--only functional within their particular areas; while this may be ideal for cities with multiple established collectives, smaller cities looking to startup their collectives would benefit from national or global solidarity and standards. Even established collectives existing amongst many could seek out solidarity with other area collectives through this tool and provide a simple and centralized way for cyclists in the area to determine what's available for them in terms of volunteer opportunities and services. I'd also like to link the global meetup page[http://www.meetup.com/CommunityBicycleCollective/] back to this wiki with the blessings of an admin, if I could.--[[User:Amor0fati|Amor0fati]] 10:57, 6 March 2012 (PST)

=== Things to Do ===
''These are listed in order of priority. Any aid in accomplishing any of these items is welcome.''
# Make contact with Brookings and campus PD to inquire about obtaining abandoned bicycles and registering donated bikes.
# Find space for excess bicycle inventory.
# Put ad in paper for accepting bicycle donations
# Scrounge for discarded bicycles.
# Complete brochure.
# Complete poster.
# File for non-profit status.
# Prepare for Earth Day presentation.
# Prepare for May Day ice cream social.

=== Business Plan in Brief ===

The Brookings Community Bicycle Collective will intend to promote the use and appeal of bicycles within the Brookings area. The collective will establish a network to acquire discarded, unwanted, or otherwise donated bicycles through contact with local businesses, property owners, the campus and city police departments, and the community at large. These bicycles will be recycled into use or salvaged for parts or processed to local recycling facilities as a two-fold service to the community--providing cheaply available bicycles and parts as well as reducing waste and clutter. The donations accrued by the shop will either be utilized by it's volunteers to produce salable bicycles to fund the collective or made available for community members to repair for personal use or to use toward the repair of bicycles already in their possession, under instruction from volunteers and with the use of the shop's tools and space.

'''Potential Sources for Bicycles Donations:'''
