The Orioles Bike Cage is a community bicycle shop in the West End of that most Canadian of Canadian cities - Winnipeg.
We are all-volunteer, and offer:
- Tools and space to fix your bike
- A stock of recycled bike frames and parts to build yourself a bike
- Volunteers to help you with advice about your repairs or project
- Recycled bicycles sold on a sliding scale
- Periodic Bicycle repair workshops
- Women Trans/Queer nights
We appreciate:
- Donations of old bikes, bike parts, tools or money (pay-what-you-can for using the tools/space)
- Volunteer time, either:
- Helping others with bike questions
- Tearing apart and building up bikes for the space
- Helping with fundraisers
- Working on the space
- Or whatever…
We strive to:
- Create a bicycle-friendly community where everyone has a reliable bike and the skills to maintain it
- Share our knowledge of bicycle repair
- Ensure everyone feels welcomed at the Bike Cage
