The Urban Bike Project of Wilmington is a community bike shop and advocacy organization in Wilmington, DE.
Mission Statement
Our mission is to serve the community's needs by educating and promoting cycling as a safe, practical, cost-efficient mode of transportation. Our facilities provide a means for the public to become more self-sufficient both in bicycle maintenance and transportation. We work to foster a greater sense of awareness in motorists, pedestrians, and the community at large.
Hours
We are open on an as-needed basis whenever someone knocks on the door or calls to set up a time to come in. Open workshops are scheduled from time to time as well.
Location
809 West 28th Street, Wilmington, DE 19802. This is Brian's house and most of his living room is taken up by bike tools. Most of the basement and dining room are storage for parts and donated bicycles. We are currently in negotiations to lease a basement space with ground floor access on Market Street.
