Community Bicycle Center

Members of our local and state of Maine community have been very generous in donating bikes to our various Community Bicycle Center programs. Listed below are guidelines to inform potential donors about the bikes we will and will not accept at this time. These guidelines are based on the needs of our current programs, recipients for the bikes we recondition, and limited storage space.

Criteria

We will accept

  • Mountain bikes
  • BMX/Freestyle bikes
  • One-speed child bikes with hand brakes

We will not accept

  • Bikes with rusted parts stored in the rain/snow)
  • Bikes with bent frames & dropouts
  • Bikes with missing parts
  • Bikes with out-of-tru wheels

We will consider accepting

  • Excellent condition Touring/Road Bikes
  • Excellent condition Antique Bikes
  • Excellent condition Three-Speed Bikes

Pick-up and Delivery

At this time we do not have the staff or volunteers to pick up bike donations. You are invited to drop off bikes anytime from 2:00 to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday (except Wednesdays) at the Community Bicycle Center shop (284 Hill Street – Biddeford).

Thank you for your support!!!
