Blue Bicycle members had access to a fleet of metallic blue bicycles located at a number of conveniently located hubs across the city and could use them for a couple of hours or up to two days.

As the organization expanded an umbrella organization, called Green Options Buffalo, was formed to include a number of local and regional bicycle initiatives, Buffalo Blue Bicycle among them.


Green Options Buffalo no longer runs the Blue Bicycle program, but is currently working on a new, high-tech bicycle sharing program to be launched in 2012-2013.
