History

Recycle-A-Bike has been active in Providence since 2000. Working out of various spaces around Providence including a church basement and the Steel Yard, RAB moved in to its current space in Olneyville in 2011. RAB was granted 501(c)3 status in 2012. Since its founding, RAB has provided open shops several days a week. Past programs have included shipping repaired bikes to Liberia and Gambia, repair classes for refugees living in RI, and classes for middle school students offered through the Providence After School Alliance.

Services Offered

RAB currently offers an open shop 2 days a week, Tues. 5-8pm and Sat. 10am-2pm. A six week build-a-bike class is offered several times a year. RAB sells refurbished bikes, and accepts donations of old bikes and parts.
