Bike Oven
The Bike Oven is a volunteer-run bicycle repair collective that started in a single car garage in the Highland Park neighborhood of Los Angeles. In 2007, the Bike Oven moved to its current location in Cypress Park with expanded facilities and hours.
The Bike Oven endeavors to serve the community and improve the quality of urban life by promoting and facilitating, through culture change, the use of bicycling as an alternative to the non-sustainable and climate damaging fossil-fuel powered motor vehicle transportation system.
Bike Oven offers a full workshop open to the public with only a donation requested. Staff volunteers are available to train and assist in learning how to repair and maintain your bike. Bike Oven has numerous used parts and bikes for sale at minimal prices and stocks some common new repair items. Bike Oven relies on volunteers and donations of bikes, parts, and tools to pursue its mission.
