The Athens bike co-op is a volunteer community organization working out of a 2-car garage in the near East side neighborhood of Athens. Foraged and donated bicycles are refurbished and sold for $25-$125. Some are put into service as a part of AYBiTS, which is a bike sharing program started spring of 2009. Custom bikes are also welded together at the co-op, including choppers, tallbikes, and cargo bikes.
