VéloCity Bicycle Cooperative is a do-it-yourself bike workshop and educational space. It is a volunteer and donation powered non-profit promoting bicycle community in Alexandria, VA. Our mission is to educate, encourage, and empower a vibrant and inclusive cycling community through learning. We provide a non-profit, volunteer-run, educational do-it-yourself workshop offering training, rides, and events to empower all levels of cyclists in building, maintaining, and embracing the fun of bicycles.

Services Offered

We offer youth programs, community outreach programs, training classes in bicycle maintenance, open shop hours for do-it-yourself bike maintenance repair, supported by experienced volunteers, same day bicycle maintenance services, used bicycle recycling, community bike rides and social events.

History

VéloCity Bicycle Cooperative first opened on May 1st, 2010. In April 2012, the co-op moved from it's original location in Old Town, Alexandria to it's current location in Del Ray.
