Recycle-a-Bike is a workshop project based in Uxbridge, outer west London, UK that recycles and refurbishes donated or discarded bikes to provide affordable cycles to the community. It started in 2010 or 2011 at Hillingdon hospital, in a single room. Funding them permitted a move to a disused garage in Uxbridge town centre.

It also offers low cost repairs and servicing and some sales. It is unclear whether the general public can work on their own bikes - probably not, since a schedule of charges for maintenance appears on the web site.

The aims include a commitment to emissions reduction and health through cycling and cheap bike sales, but also volunteer opportunities, leading eventually to City & Guilds training recognition.

Location

Fassnidge Hall Garage, 61 The High Street, Uxbridge UB8 1JP, UK.
