History Conceived by members of the Savannah bicycling community after meeting repeatedly at public meetings, the Savannah Bicycle Campaign was founded to act as an overarching organization to focus the efforts of activists into positive change. Early meetings were held in the basement of SCAD’s Keys Hall where attendees crafted Mission, Vision and Goals and selected board members to carry this important work forward. A press conference was held in Savannah’s Johnson Square on April 14, 2008 to announce the formation of the organization.
