NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING UTAH TRANSIT AUTHORITY
RE: Public Hearing on Utah Transit Authority Proposed Federal Grant Application Submissions – Federal Highway Administration Enhancements Program – Intermodal Hub BikeStation – Salt Lake
I. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing will be held from 5:45 to 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, January 31, 2007 at the Utah Transit Authority (UTA) Meadowbrook facility, Board Room, 3600 South 700 West, Salt Lake City, Utah.
II. The purpose of the public hearing is to review and receive comments on the proposed projects in Federal Enhancements program grant applications to be submitted in Federal fiscal year 2007. The proposed project would have two phases. The first would be a feasibility and preliminary design study. Pending the results of that study, the second phase would be the build out in the Intermodal Hub as well as establishing initial operations. The applications will be explained, questions answered and comments recorded for the public hearing record.

Box 30810, Salt Lake City, Utah 84130-0810 postmarked by February 12, 2007 to be included as part of the public hearing record. Public comments are welcome at the hearing or may be e-mailed to: squinn@rideuta.com
IV. Comments may also be taken by phone or sent to Shaina Miron Quinn or Jerri Ashurst at the UTA Meadowbrook office. All comments received or postmarked by February 12, 2007 will be included in the public hearing record. The proposed program of projects in the grant applications become the final program of projects if no comments are received.
V. Description of Proposed Projects Estimated Federal Cost
Enhancements Program (administered by UDOT) Intermodal Hub BikeStation – Salt Lake Phase I: Feasibility and Preliminary Design Study $55,000 Phase II: Construct the Bicycle Station To Be Determined
VI. To assure full participation at the hearing, requests for accommodations for effective communication, such as sign language interpreters or printed materials in alternate formats, or a language interpreter for non-English speaking participants, must be received at least five (5) working days prior to the scheduled date of the hearing.
