Current board president and principle volunteer at the Columbus Bike Co-op.
I am a husband, father of two grown children, cycling entheusiast, and an engineer by profession. I became involved with the Columbus (Indiana) bike co-op as a volunteer when it was a small informal shop renting space in part of a garage. As we grew and attracted some local attention, I worked to get us moved into a larger facility - eventually getting space in the lower level of the local United Way building.
My initial involvement in bike co-ops goes back to the 1980's, when I helped start up an organization in Indianapolis called the Bicycle Action Project. BAP was eventually absorbed into the Central Indiana Bicycling Association, and I became busy with two young kids. Nearly 30 years later, BAP is long gone but I've been drawn in to another bike co-op.
