From Bike Collectives Wiki

I am the director of the Bicycle Collective (Salt Lake City location). As an advocate for social justice, personal and community empowerment, and having fallen in love with bicycles, Sharah is excited to bring her creativity, program development experience and "street-smarts" to the Salt Lake City Collective. In her five years of leadership experience in the non-profit world, among other things, Sharah built a nationally recognized, innovative and effective street-based outreach program targeted towards runaway and homeless youth and adults. She has made a notable impact on her community's awareness of and response to these issues, including being a key player in the inception and successful execution of Code Blue Saratoga. Her connection with marginalized people, passion for sustainable communities, management skills, innovative approach and killer bike tan will be put to excellent use for the Bicycle Collective. Sharah joins the Bicycle Collective team in Salt Lake City as soon as she pedals her way down from Alaska. Since its inception in 2002, the SLC Collective has expanded from a humble garage in Glendale to its current flagship location that operates five core programs year round. It is supported by hundreds of volunteers, employs 16 people at competitive rates and has put over 15,000 butts on bikes. Sharah will be tasked with bolstering the SLC location’s youth and charitable programs and build our excellent training resources to retain and empower more mechanics from diverse backgrounds. Her leadership of the Salt Lake location will allow David Eyer Davis, our executive director, to focus on bolstering the newer branches and grow our capital campaign to build the SLC Collective a permanent and custom-tailored home.
