Brakes

There are different types of brakes. Use the information below to determine which type you are using before continuing to the correct section.

Cantilever Brakes are easily identified by the upside-down "Y" created by their cables. The open end of the "Y" hovers above the tire. Examples: [1]
V Brakes only use one cable, which connects through one brake pad to another. Examples: [2]
Disc Brakes are identified by a metal discs around the hub of the front and rear wheels. Examples: [3]
Coaster Brakes
Drum Brakes
